I’ve always been the backup dancer
the understudy
the backing singer
the silver medalist
the substitute teacher
the vice president
the assistant manager
the movie extra
the follower
always in second place
but maybe someday I’ll be first.

Just remember, without the back up there is NO FIRST! Back ups play exceedingly important roles. Back ups often accomplish more than 90+% of the population. I’m not convinced 1st place is all that important. The effort one applies to the tasks they undertake determines the accomplishment.
