A Glimpse into My Journey

One step at a time.

Those who write sad poems…

Daily Prompt: Original

Sometimes those who always smile, suppress their darkest feelings inside.

Sometimes those who laugh to the world, cry themselves to sleep every night.

Sometimes those who joke around constantly, feel the least amount of joy.

Sometimes those who surround themselves with friends, are the loneliest ones.

Sometimes those who say nothing, want the world to hear everything.

Sometimes those who appear to have the fittest bodies, have the most insecure perceptions of themselves.

Sometimes those who can run the fastest, feel the most left behind.

Sometimes those with the greatest income, feel the most emptiness in their lives.

Sometimes those who own the most possessions, feel the most worthless.

Sometimes those with the most prestigious jobs, have the lowest self-esteem.

Sometimes those who once had boundless creativity, can no longer produce anything original.

Sometimes those who write sad poems about others, are actually writing about themselves.

And sometimes it is more difficult to hear the truth than it is to remain ignorant. Thanks for reading!

Hehe… yup something i feel strongly about… don’t know if its better to be ignorant or know the truth, maybe its escapism, but i think i prefer being ignorant…

I feel that way too. Maybe that’s why I miss being a child so much, when the days were innocent and free. Ignorance is bliss!

It is actually a truth in majority cases that what people show of themselves is just the reverse of what they are inside.
