A Glimpse into My Journey

One step at a time.

5 Reasons I Miss College

The Poetry of List-Making

IMG_9531

1) Freedom

Living close to campus

meant zero curfews.

Could go home at midnight

if my heart wanted to.

2) Diversity

Hardly do I ever see

the same person next to me.

Perhaps some stopped coming to class,

couldn’t stand the warm seats.

3) Friends

Bored from studying all alone?

Just give my floormate a heads up.

“Hey, I’ll be over in 5.”

“Sure, I’m not even dressed up.”

4) Convenience

Out of bread and milk?

Just walk down two streets.

“But I really want Ethiopian food.”

“Even closer, but only if you can handle the heat.”

5) Time

Unless you were on the Olympic route,

college was a time to explore.

Four years to figure it out,

but I’m still yearning for more.

College are one of the best years of life… Freedom n friends being the crux of it apart of studying i.e.😉… Once you enter the professional world both of them are hard to get 😊

Yes, totally agree! Haha, studying is never fun… well, unless you intended to “study” but ended up procrastinating on the Internet. 😉 (something I did quite often)

More college education, yes! No party stuff though too old for that nonsense. Plus my nerves can’t handle it.

I’m not into partying either, and I do miss the learning aspect very much (but not the papers and exams). 🙂

That’s why I like to read people’s blog. I get to learn from them
