Whose dream is it?

Dream

Step by step.

One hill at a time.

No time to look back.

No time to dwell on mistakes and mishaps.

 

Some knew all along,

artist, manager, author, producer,

but what about me?

Always too many options, not knowing what to believe.

 

I only knew how to work hard,

hoping I would figure it all out.

I still looked 15, but was already 22,

and haven’t found where my passion held true.

 

Day by day,

one walk at a time.

I thought I was coming closer to a bigger goal,

but I couldn’t even make out the light at the end of the tunnel.

 

They say, dream big,

but whose dream is it anyway?

My vision starts to spin out of focus,

wondering if this path is still a must.

 

No longer do I want to continue this path that so many have traveled.

I want to, need to, pave my own road.

I will dream bigger,

bigger, louder, stronger than ever.
